Boat Rally, BBQ and more
Calling all water enthusiasts. Come and take part in the Boat Rally by the Fox & Hounds pub whether you have a paddleboard, kayak, tug or narrowboat. Please dress your boat or yourselves in regalia fit for a King.
Lots of things to see both on the water and from the towpath:
-
Enjoy the boats moored beside the towpath and maybe meet the owners
-
Meet the Basingstoke Canal Society and 26th Odiham (Fleet) Sea Scouts. The Sea Scouts will also be showing their knotting and boating skills by building and paddling rafts setting off from Reading Road South carpark at approx 3:30 pm.
-
Paddle boarders, canoe and kayakers paddling past the Fox & Hounds pub throughout the afternoon. They might even inspire you to have a go!
The Fox & Hounds will be open and have a tasty barbecue from midday with live music to entertain you throughout the afternoon.
Lots of fun, lots of colour, and not far from all the other activities going on in Calthorpe Park – so why not visit both! We like to keep you busy!
